Rev. John Fraiser was born and reared in Montgomery, Alabama. His father, Gary, and his mother, Kathleen, have worked together as private grade school educators for over thirty years.
Pastor Fraiser attended Clearwater Christian College and majored in Biblical Studies where he met his wife-to-be, Emily.
Following college, John attended Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia for one year. John and Emily were married in 2002, and moved to Louisville, KY. In 2006, he received his Masters of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Fraiser served the next several years as a liturgical assistant and fieldworker at Concordia Lutheran Church in Louisville and was eventually approved as a candidate for ordination in the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.
In March 2008, Pastor Fraiser and Emily were blessed with a daughter, Jillian. That year, John began master’s studies in philosophy at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, and for the next two years, he commuted each week from Louisville to St. Louis. He also did graduate work at Concordia Seminary.
Following his studies in St. Louis, he planned to pursue doctoral work in philosophy, but instead declined several offers for PhD studies in order to follow God’s call to serve as pastor at Holy Trinity. He was ordained and installed as pastor of Holy Trinity in April 2011.
Pastor Fraiser enjoys smoking cigars, having lively discussion on most subjects, spending time outdoors, and playing guitar. He is an avid fan of Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and the Avett Brothers.
